"We tried to pull a backup from July 15th 2011 but nothing came through.
My developer let me know this morning that this could be caused by some recent problems we had with our servers on Monday the 17th 2011 and had to restore a backup from 10/12/11 the newer ones had been corrupted.
From what I heard there isn't anyway to restore data missing from Thursday - Monday (20th to 24th) due to the corruption. We should be able to pull the backup files from July but due to the problem we had last week we had to move our servers to a different location and transfer all backup files. This can take up to two weeks for us to be able to pull the backup files from the new server location.
I would be more than happy to assist you with manually changing the content you previously had. Please don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Thank You,

I have used their IDXPress and dsSearchAgent.

I wish I had used something like IDX broker, which loads fast, has customization, has client capture and indexes well.
Unfortunately after a year and a half and thousands of hours working with their solutions, it will be almost impossible to implement this solution now.

This is a very robust system offering a broad range of features and abilities that are quite nice for a small brokerage and/or individual agent and yes, you read it right, the fact that it's an all-in-one solution is both a pro and a con. It's a "pro" if you're wanting an out of the box system that is feature rich. It's a "con" though if you want maximum flexibility with regard to specific implementations of IDX on one or multiple sites, and the fundamental fact of not being able to host your website where you want to control your own destiny.

The reality is there is no one system that is perfect for everybody (but you already knew that :) I hope.)

Let me admit that I don't have as much experience with this system as some of the others I've reviewed here but I would say, based on what I've seen so far, that if you're looking for a turn-key solution with strong CRM abilities you should take a closer look at Quicksilver.

Note: This review is in bad need for some input from agents or brokers who are or have used Quicksilver. It's important for other realtors to know how well the system performs, or doesn't perform, in terms of lead generation (quantity and quality), customer service and the overall experience in dealing with Quicksilver. Looking forward to your feedback...

I was told the leads were pre-screened and we would only pay for quality leads. This did not turn out to be the case.

After three months of following up with these leads, I began to get frustrated with the number of duplicate leads, bogus leads, and leads for people wanting to purchase things that simply don't exist. When I emailed customer service asking them if a couple particular leads were going to be "free" because they either had no contact information or had been sent multiple times, the answer was no. They then went on to tell me that they sent MORE leads that I had paid for last month, so this month they were sure I could overlook the duplicates.

I then told them this was not ok and I wanted to speak to a manager. The manager told me that they had over-delivered and they were sorry I did not have the skill to convert these leads. I responded with "are you listening to yourself?" and told them I wanted this service cancelled. The manager said that was not possible because I was still "in contract" with them until August. I then asked to speak to the next manager, and left a voice mail for her saying I wanted to speak with someone who could cancel the account.

About an hour later I received an email with a link to terminate the account. I thought I had made some progress when I received a confirmation email saying that they were sorry that our relationship would be ending.

The next month, my credit card was billed again. I went back to the confirmation email and noticed that they confirmed the account would be deactivated in AUGUST (current month was May)!! I ended up cancelling the credit card they were billing so that they would no longer charge me.

Now Market Leader is harassing me because they can not collect the monthly fee. I told them that I would not be paying them another dime, to which they responded I was still under contract and obligated to pay. I then explained THEY were obligated to provide a quality product with quality leads, and they could call me every day if they wanted to but I would not be paying them again.

So...BEWARE. Any company worth ANYTHING would allow an unhappy customer to terminate the service. This company is clearly not an honorable company and I would advise anyone that is thinking about this service to avoid it at all costs. You are better off calling random people out of the phone book than following up with these worthless leads.

This review is based on past experience as this vendor's client, and with vendor's integrated spider-able IDX. It does not address their newer IFramed IDX product. My basic experience and comments are pretty much the same as the original reviewer, so I will not repeat all of that myself.

Some clarifications on features:
Email Blast / Drip Email: Yes to both. The drip email feature is pretty powerful, when implemented well by the client.
Alerts and Notifications: Email and Text are supported, and can be customized by vendor if needed.
Captures Referring URL: Yes. Available in each lead's "Tracked Visits" area in the back end.

REW also offers an optional, extra cost module that generates an IDX site map file for the SEs containing the urls for all IDX details pages. This module should be a standard feature, IMO, but it isn't. Clients may also request (at nominal extra programming cost) custom SEO tags for the IDX details pages, such as Title and Description and Keywords, that can be auto-generated from the IDX contents for that listing. Every client should do this, as it can make a big difference in SEO performance.

REW has been focusing its recent efforts on its newer Limited Edition Custom (LEC) websites, which generally include a version of their spider-able IDX. The IDX can be their "core" IDX for a particular market, or a totally customized implementation if the local MLS rules permit and the client desires. When implemented properly, and followed up with good basic SEO practices on the part of the website owner, this combination generally does very well in the search engine results in many markets, and can yield very good ROI when it does. REW has also implemented their IDX solutions in many different markets, and has a lot of experience in this area.

As one of the first in the market to offer a SE spider-able IDX, REW's IDX product has done very well, and has gained many avid supporters. However, as mentioned by the original reviewer, total cost of ownership can be very high compared to other IDX products, especially initial implementation cost when combined with one of their LEC website products, and especially if you need any kind of customizations done. Because each client's website and IDX is in fact a totally independent code set implementation, and is not shared with other clients, each client will also be responsible for paying for any future IDX programming changes, as may be necessary due to IDX feed contents or functionality changes by the client's Board or MLS. They will also need to pay for any upgrades as REW improves its IDX and other CMS features, because whatever features the client originally buys are forever static, except for bug fixes, and the client's website will not get any upgrades or new features unless they are paid for on a case-by-case basis. This makes the long term cost of ownership somewhat of an uncertainty.

Since the look and feel of the IDX can vary greatly, depending on the "core" IDX for that market, client customizations, and whether the IDX is integrated with a REW template or a newer LEC or custom website, the look and feel and end user experience cannot be rated in any generalized way. The look and feel and end user experience can be weak and terrible on one website, and totally awesome on another, depending in the client's implementation and customizations.

The IDX lead management back end is tightly integrated with the vendor's CMS, and the combination can be somewhat difficult to learn at first. But it has some great capabilities once you do. I still ranked the ease of use a bit better than the original reviewer because I have seen and experienced much more difficult to use back ends in other products.

If you select REW website and IDX, and even if you pay big bucks for major customizations, you do not "own" the resulting code, and the end result is not transportable to any other hosting service. As a result, you will be "married" to the vendor in a big way, and will need to carefully consider the ramifications of that decision. However, their CMS back end does allow you to export your leads, and to export a MySQL backup file of your CMS content pages, so those are yours to take with you if you ever need to at some point. When I switched platforms and vendors, I was able to manipulate and load the MySQL backup file of 300+ pages from my REW site into a Joomla 1.5 database. With some effort and/or technical help, one could probably do the same for Word Press, as it is also MySQL based. However, even if you can do that, the menus and navigation structures would still need to be re-built, and other functionality accomplished with appropriate plug-ins.
